“Although we have always been sun safe aware this scheme has really helped us to put the message across to our parents and they all delighted that we have taken part in this scheme. It has given us the incentive to buy some more suitable hats rather than just peaked caps as we had before. Gaining the status is straight forward to do and I hope more nurseries will take the opportunity to complete it.”

“All the classes have enjoyed their activities following the whole school assembly, this has reading the 'George the Sun Safe Superstar' book, learning the song and doing the worksheets. From this we are creating a sunsafe display.”

It was timed perfectly for the start of the fine weather and the children are embracing the need to wear their sunhats, sunglasses and sun screen as can be seen from the attached photo. Classes are still running sessions and we have a wonderful display in school to remind everyone of the sun safe message as we move through the summer.”
