Hedgehogs House Completes Step 3 towards becoming a Sun Safe Nursery - Teaching Resources & Activities

Congratulations to Hedgehogs House for reading George the Sun Safe Superstar to all their children and introducing everyone to the ‘Slip, Slap, Slop song’.Hedgehogs House have also pledged to continue to regularly use the resources provided to reinforce the sun safe message to their children.

“the , children loved this song, we sang it during song time using props and musical instruments. One parent has phoned this evening to ask what the song is as she would like to join in with her daughters singing during their bath time, so just goes to show that the catchy tune and lyrics are being remembered. Older children took it upon themselves to get everyone's sun hats ready before we walked to the park, without being asked today, which was really fab.”

(Vickie Dickinson - Hedgehogs House)

“we have used the resources available. each child was given a copy of the song sheet. we shared george's sunsafe superstar story and coloured a sunsafe worksheet. we also made our own sun visors from a craft set, which the children wore with pride during our walk today.”
