Congratulations to Mere Brow CE Primary School for issuing letters and Sun Safety leaflets to the parents / guardians of all of their children. Mere Brow CE Primary School have also pledged to make sure that all children have access to Sun Hats & Sunscreen and that all teachers at the school will be good role models with regard to sun safety.
“When this letter was sent out it was copied onto school letter head. The school pledges that to the best of its ability it will ensure that the children have access to shaded areas, will remind them daily to bring in hats (we have a few spare) and use them, and issue sunscreen reminders, and look after spares in school making easily accessible. ”
“All teachers have been given a copy of the letter to parents and copy of the Sun Safety and Skin Cancer booklet. They have brought in hats (if they do not already have them in school) and ask children daily if they have applied sunscreen before they came to school (or have it with them) and have brought hats. Those children who have not have a message sent home to parents reminding them of the importance of providing sun cream / hats etc. We have some spare hats in school which are lent to the children. Children are not allowed to play outside in the sun without appropriate protection. ”
