“We have ordered new legionnaires sun hats for the Pre-School allowing for spares if the children should come without. We have children's sunscreen on the premises. Staff have pledged to wear a hat and sun glasses if needed and also to apply sunscreen before going outside. ”

“We have a wooden structure with a roof to provide a shaded area. we also have a roof over the sandpit to offer shade and there is also another structure which offers shade for art and craft activities. ”

“Watcombe Childrens Centre Nursery expect all parents to sign up to making children safe when in the sun. Boots Soltan SPF50+ suncream is used at all times, and will be administered throughout the day. Parents will need to bring in their own suntan lotion if their child can not use our own suntan lotion.”

“Sun lotion will be administered by staff throughout the day using our own sun lotion. We will have some spare sunhats available, but ask parents to always bring in their own hats. Staff will also have the use of the sunlotion to protect themselves from the sun, and be seen as role models for being safe in the sun.”
